Swedish Massage in Ventura, CA
Swedish massage is the most relaxing session at Aura Thai Massage: long, flowing strokes with oil at a light-to-medium pressure, in a quiet room on East Main Street in downtown Ventura.
What is Swedish Massage?
Swedish massage is the classic relaxation massage. It combines long gliding strokes, kneading, and gentle circular movements with oil, at a light-to-medium pressure.
It is the calmest of our four styles, designed to quiet the nervous system as much as the muscles — improving circulation, easing everyday stiffness, and letting the body fully settle.
What to expect
- 01

Swedish Massage FAQ
Is Swedish massage good for a first massage?
Yes — it is the gentlest of our four styles and the easiest introduction to massage. The pressure is light to medium and always adjusted to you.
Do I have to undress for a Swedish massage?
You undress only to your level of comfort, and you are covered with full draping throughout. Only the area being worked on is uncovered.
What pressure is used in Swedish massage?
Light to medium. If you would like firmer work on a tight spot, just ask — or book deep tissue for a session built around stronger pressure.
Swedish or deep tissue — which should I choose?
Choose Swedish to relax and unwind, and deep tissue to work on specific, stubborn tension. If you are unsure, tell us what you want to feel afterward and we will recommend one.
How long is a Swedish massage?
We offer 30, 60, and 90-minute sessions. Sixty minutes covers the full body; 90 minutes allows a slower pace and more time where you need it.
